We are integrated in the Louis & Denis Boissinot pharmacy, established in Quebec City since 1965. Following the opening of a travel clinic in our neighbourhood in 1992, we developed a section specialized in traveller’s health. We also created the company “T.R.I.P.S. Health Products Inc” in 1994 so we could be the first to import and sell in Canada insecticide-impregnated mosquito bed nets to help prevent malaria. Throughout the years, we have counselled thousands of travellers and have expanded our product range. Our first aid section is bigger and more diversified than what is usually found in typical pharmacies. Our customer base is also getting wider. Families, sports enthusiasts, campers and businesses come meet us to update their first aid kits. For each category of products, you will find remarks written by our pharmacists. We cannot sell online all medications usually available in pharmacies but only those authorized by the Quebec pharmacy law. Since 1991, we have been counselling clients about first aid items and kits in our pharmacy. A lot of them have given us information, advice and have related to us various travel and outdoor experiences. We quickly realized that a lot of people know very little about first aid. They do not know the different uses of all these first aid items. We also realized that the differences in quality between the different products had to be explained. Once the client understands, he can buy better and is better prepared to face an emergency situation.
